Bringing A Taste Of The Bay To Maine

written by: Monica & Rock of White Cedar Inn

White Cedar Inn is on Main Street in the coastal town of Freeport. Freeport is a 4-season community centrally located in the Casco Bay area of Maine. Although the town is known as the home of LL Bean and outlet shopping, we're also in the heart of excellent hiking, kayaking, and snowshoeing with 2 state parks and a lot of conservation land for outdoor activities within a 10 minute drive.

Ours was the first B&B in Freeport to receive the Maine Environmental Leader in Hospitality Certification. We're always looking for ways to reduce waste, but still give our guests the experience they have come to expect. We had been using the plastic k-cups for the coffee machine until we found your company was producing the OneCup pods. It took us a little while to figure out how to present the coffee in a way that made it easy for guests to use and one which would keep the coffee fresh in our sometimes humid climate. These glass jars are working well.

We tell our guests the pods are better for the environment which is a big selling point as most guests then ask where can they buy them. We have 4 different regular (high-test) coffees - Organic Rainforest Blend, Fog Chaser, Breakfast Blend, and Espresso Roast and 2 different decaf options - French Roast and Organic Gorilla.

We're very happy we found your company as the old k-cups are a blight, but guests do want to have a cup of coffee in the evening after their day's activities. We're already scoping up some other OneCups to try.

Thanks for producing a coffee pod we're pleased to offer to our guests. We appreciate the ease of ordering and the quick turn around time for the shipment to arrive.

Thank you for sharing your story Monica & Rock. When we make our way to Maine, there is only one place we will stay. 🙂
